Following an exceptional debut with Filarmonica della Scala in October 2016, Benjamin will join the orchestra for its first Barbican performance under new musical director Riccardo Chailly in January 2018.

In 2016, Benjamin joined the orchestra at Teatro della Scala in a performance of Liszt’s Piano Concerto, which was described as a “smash hit” and “flawless in execution” by Gionole della Musica.

This season, Benjamin will perform another great Romantic work – Grieg’s iconic Piano Concerto – in a programme that also includes Rossini's Overture from La Gazza Ladra and Tchaikovsky's Symphony No 4.
